Amanda Parsons, MD, joined the NYC Department of Health & Mental Hygiene in 2008. She oversees the Primary Care Information Project and NYC REACH, the NYC REC. Previously, Parsons was the Director of Medical Quality, and was responsible for creating and leading the Quality Improvement, Billing Consulting, and EMR Consulting teams. Prior to that, Parsons was a consultant for McKinsey & Company.

Parsons earned her MD and MBA from Columbia University, and did medical post-graduate Internal Medicine training at Beth Israel Medical Center. She serves on the Board of Directors of VIP Community Service and the New York eHealth Collaborative.
