Thomas G. Morrison co-founded NaviNet, America’s largest health care communications network, and is credited as the visionary thinker behind NaviNet’s innovative solutions for unified patient information management (UPIM). As Chief Strategy Officer and Executive Vice President of Government Affairs at NaviNet, he provides leadership for product and market strategies and consults with influencers in Washington, DC, as they work to reshape the health care system.

Morrison’s health care experience includes senior management roles with both provider- and plan-based health care systems vendors. He is an active member of several health care industry groups, including DMAA: The Care Continuum Alliance HIT Committee. He is also a Clinical Groupware Collaborative board member, and serves as Chair of their Strategic Advisory Board. He has presented sessions at several industry events, including the World Healthcare Innovation and Technology Congress, the Healthcare Payment Solutions Summit and an America’s Health Insurance Plans conference. He was also named 23rd on HealthSpottr’s Future Health 100 List.

Prior to NaviNet, Morrison was a Co-Founder and General Partner at Firepond Partners, a venture capital group that focused on health care IT opportunities. He held senior business development and marketing positions at Spectrum, a joint venture between IBM and Baxter, and McDonnell Douglas Health Systems. He was a partner at Charles J. Singer & Co., where he worked closely with most of the major technology firms on developing health care market strategies. Morrison holds a Bachelor’s degree and law degree from Arizona State University.
