Answer from Howard Phillips:
The Future Of America As A Free Republic Depends On Us
The real issue of this campaign is which political party will contend for the future of America in the next election.
The real issue of this campaign is which political party will contend for the future of America in the next election. The future of our nation as a free republic may very well depend on the answer to that. The Republican Party is on its last legs. It is a house divided against itself. The principal contenders for the support of Christians, conservatives and constitutionalists are the Reform Party and the Constitution Party.
The Constitution Party is founded upon something bigger than myself and bigger than political personality. It is founded upon, and is committed to the sound principles of limited government our nation was founded upon. If Pat Buchanan would to drop dead today, there would be no Reform Party in 2004. But if Howard Phillips is removed from the scene, there would still be a Constitution Party. The Reform Party primarily exists because of a loyalty to a particular person and the availability of 12.6 million dollars in federal campaign welfare subsidies.
The Constitution Party is focused on bringing the message of America's founders to the American people so they can understand what needs to be done to get our country back on the right track. The real issue is whether the American people will give the Constitution Party the support it needs so that when the Republican Party comes apart at the seams, the Constitution Party will be its natural successor.
