Do Cheney/Bush Deserve The Support Of Conservative, Christian And Pro-Life Leaders?
Christians and conservatives need to wake up.
It's time for Christian and Conservative leaders who have been giving aligned, unquestionable support to the Bush Cheney ticket to ask themselves, whether in good conscious they can continue to support a presidential nominee who does not understand the degree to which he as a candidate or as president can work to overturn the FDA ruling regarding RU486 and a vice-presidential nominee who has embraced the concept of homosexual marriage.

Excerpt from Bush/Gore Presidential Debate in Massachusetts:
LEHRER: Governor, we'll go to the Supreme Court question in a moment. But, to make sure I understand your position on RU-486, if you're elected president will you, if not through appointments to the FDA, you won't support legislation to overturn this?
BUSH: I don't think a president can even overturn it. The FDA has made its decision.
LEHRER: That means that you wouldn't throw appointments to the FDA and ask them to reappraise it?
BUSH: I think once the decisions made, it's been made, unless it's proven to be unsafe to women.
Cheney quote excerpts from Vice-Presidential debate: News Link
CHENEY: "I think different states are likely to come to different conclusions and that's appropriate. I don't think there should necessarily be a federal policy in this area... I try to be open-minded about it as much as I can and tolerant of those relationships. And like Joe, I also wrestle with the extent to which there ought to be legal sanction of those relationships. I think we ought to do everything we can to tolerate and accommodate whatever kind of relationships people want to enter into."
