Question: Did President Clinton commit perjury during the Lewinsky investigation? If you had been in Congress, would you have voted to impeach him? And, most importantly, will you pardon Clinton if you are elected president?

Answer from George W. Bush:
BUSH WILL RESTORE HONOR AND DIGNITY TO OVAL OFFICE
We need to look to the future
I want to look to the future, I believe a strong leader focuses on solving problems, not settling scores. However, I agree with the House's decision to impeach President Clinton and, based on the facts, I would've voted with the majority.
To date, President Clinton has maintained that he would not ask for a presidential pardon, and I take him at his word.
I want to usher in an era of personal responsibility, and that begins in the Oval Office. As President, I will restore honor and dignity to the White House, and set a new tone of respect and bipartisanship in Washington. It's time to put the days of scandal and partisan bickering behind us and work for the American people. It's time for a change.
