since biblical times. The question is, will we be good stewards of this magnificent heritage? Will it be there for our children and our grandchildren? Will it be there for us in years to come? We have to recognize that America became a great country because our law system was based on the Bible. The foundation for this didn't begin in 1776 or 1787. It began when the pilgrims landed at Plymouth Rock in 1620. There is a whole heritage of Christian education, Christian law, Christian morality and Christian justice without which, we would not have been able to have educated founders of the type who drafted the brilliant documents on which our system relies We need to go back to those core principles. We need to recognize that God is sovereign and law is always the will of the sovereign. We also need to recognize that the laws of God can not be repealed or overturned, even by a two-thirds vote in Congress or unanimous decision of the Supreme Court. The framers understood this, for the Declaration of Independence declares we are endowed by our Creator with certain inalienable rights. The Constitution Party is the only national party available for the American people to support this year with which George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, George Mason and James Madison would be comfortable, were they alive today. We believe in the principles of the sovereignty of God and the need for our institutions to be accountable to the American people. We must hold them accountable because we are God's creatures and as His creatures we owe a duty of stewardship to our Creator in regards to those rights and responsibilities which He has entrusted to us.
