WE SHOULD WORK TOGETHER TO REDUCE ABORTIONS
Jenny, my position on abortion has never changed.
I have and continue to be in favor of the goal of the Human Life Amendment, however, I do believe that there should be exceptions for rape, incest, and to save the life of the mother.
I agree that good people can have differing views on this subject, so I believe that we should work together on the issues on which we agree. I will provide leadership to take positive, practical steps to reduce the number of abortions: ending partial-birth abortion, helping women in crisis through maternity group homes, encouraging adoption, promoting abstinence education, and passing laws requiring parental notification and waiting periods. I oppose any federal funding for abortion.
