About the State-by-State Directory of Election Information
The goal of the State-by-State Directory of Election Information is to help voters
quickly locate and access reliable, state-level voting information on the Internet
offered by official state election agencies and nonprofit, nonpartisan organizations.
The directory does not feature links for local or judicial elections, issue-oriented voter guides
from nonprofit groups, or commercial sites.
The California Voter Foundation (CVF) is producing
this directory as a component of the Web White & Blue 2000 project, with support
from the Markle Foundation. Technical support
is provided by mindshare Internet Campaigns.
WWB project consultant Steve Clift is providing
editorial support and outreach assistance. The CVF Directory Project team includes
Kim Alexander, Saskia Mills, Debbie Rotenberg and Rolf Kvalvik. Special thanks are
due to Project Vote Smart and the
National Conference of State Legislatures for their research
assistance, to UC Davis for support via the
Political Science internship program, and to the state election agencies for assisting
with this project and for providing reliable voter information on the Internet.
The California Voter Foundation is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization established
in 1994 to advance new technologies to improve democracy. CVF is a 501(c)(3) organization
funded by foundations and members, and takes no positions on any candidates or measures
that appear on the ballot. More information about CVF is available on the web at
www.calvoter.org. If you have questions or
comments about the State-by-State Directory of Election Information, please contact
CVF by phone: (916) 325-2120, or via email: wwb@calvoter.org.
