James L. Barksdale is a Partner and Co-Founder of The Barksdale Group. Prior to founding The Barksdale Group, he served as President & CEO of Netscape Communications Corporation. Before Netscape, he worked at AT&T Wireless Services as their CEO, and before this he served as the Executive Vice President and COO for Federal Express Corporation. In January 2000, he donated $100 million to create The Barksdale Reading Institute, a statewide reading program in Mississippi. Barksdale is presently a member of the President’s Foreign Intelligence Advisory Board.
