In a recent Markle survey where doctors and patients were surveyed on how health IT should be used in a modern health care system, both sectors agreed on key requirements related to electronically sharing health information, patient privacy, and ways health IT can improve the quality of health care.

The Markle Survey draws its findings from two surveys: one survey interviewed 1,582 members of the public, while the other surveyed 779 doctors.
