Kevin Hutchinson

Kevin Hutchinson, President and CEO of Prematics Inc., was selected in 2009 to serve on the newly established federal Health Information Technology Standards Committee, advising national coordinator for health IT, David Blumenthal, on the development and use of health information interoperability standards. Previously, from 2005 to 2008, Hutchinson served as a Commissioner and Industry Advisor to the Secretary on the American Health Information Community, an HHS health information technology advisory body.

Following a year as inaugural Vice Chair, Hutchinson currently serves on the board of the National eHealth Collaborative, a public-private partnership supporting the federal government’s effort to architect a Nationwide Health Information Network that will enable the secure exchange of patient health information across the country. He is also a member of the board of directors for an American Academy of Family Physicians company, TransforMED. Hutchinson currently serves on numerous national advisory boards, including those of Dell Healthcare and Life Sciences, the eHealth Initiative, Markle Foundation Connecting for Health, the University of Oklahoma College of Pharmacy, PharmMD and BridgeGate.

Prior to joining Prematics, Hutchinson was the founding President and CEO of Surescripts from 2002 to 2008.

Hutchinson contributed to the Markle Common Framework for Networked Personal Health Information.
