Jacob Hsu is a Silicon Valley based executive, advisor and entrepreneur. Mr Hsu is the CEO of Catalyte (www.catalyte.io), a company uses predictive analytics to identify individuals, regardless of background, who have the innate ability and cognitive agility to be great software engineers. Catalyte retrains these individuals to deliver cutting edge application development and software engineering services in the company’s development centers located in American urban metro areas. This enables the company to deliver higher performing software development teams that have a productivity, quality, and speed advantage compared to traditional offshore teams. This also creates the possibility to expand employment in technology fields to disadvantaged groups previous excluded from these 21st century positions.
Prior to Catalyte, Mr. Hsu was CEO of Symbio, a global software engineering and R&D services company, which he transformed from an early stage startup company to being a global diversified IT services company that together with its parent company VXI had over 23,000 employees around the world. Before joining Symbio, he was the founding CEO of Trilogica, a data aggregation software company, and founding CEO of Epitome, a banking applications company, and began his career in investment banking focused on mergers & acquisitions.
Mr. Hsu has also co-founded or been a founding investor in over thirty other companies in the United States and Asia. He received his bachelors from Wharton and was named by Chief Executive Magazine as one of the world’s Top 12 Young Global Leaders of Tomorrow and as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum.
