Stanley S. Litow is Vice President, IBM Corporate Citizenship & Corporate Affairs and President of the IBM International Foundation. A former Deputy Chancellor of the New York City Schools, he served as an aide to the Mayor of New York City, as an advisor to the Governor of New York, and on several Presidential Commissions. He has focused much of his IBM career on creating opportunities for education and employment for young people around the world. Stan is an architect of P-TECH, a new grade 9 to 14 school providing a pathway from school to college to career which has spread across the US and globally. He also is the creative force behind Teacher Advisor with Watson, which uses IBM’s Watson technology to provide teachers with a personal coaching aide to help teachers improve student achievement. Stan serves as a Governor’s appointee on the board of the State University of New York where he chairs the Academic Affairs Committee.
