Skillful, a Site for Middle-level Job Seekers, Launches in Phoenix

Publication Date: April 8, 2016 | Back to Latest News

Job seekers, employers, and educators got together at the Phoenix Business and Workforce Development Center Thursday to learn about the potential benefits Skillful could provide.

Its creators say Skillful provides a new way of finding a job, even if you don’t have a four-year degree. They have built a set of online and offline tools to connect middle-skill job seekers — those with a high-school diploma and some college experience, but not a four-year degree— with employers, educators and community navigators so they can advance their careers.

Mayor Greg Stanton, Markle Foundation CEO and President Zoë Baird, LinkedIn vice president of product management and co-founder Allen Blue, and Arizona State University representatives partnered to make Skillful possible.
