Markle’s six nationwide surveys to date have consistently found that the public expects electronic PHRs to be beneficial in health and health care management. The public also considers privacy safeguards important for support and participation in health IT efforts. Results presented at federal roundtable indicate support for breach notification, audit trail, informed choices, and corrections.
